OR I can buy a 350dps 1.7 aps foil using the node for 35c. Since dw is nerfed and people aren't crafting them as much, I can buy a 350dps 1.7aps 7.08 crit chance foil for 3 ex. But for crit builds, the free crit chance is actually an extremely good budget starter. If I start out as a slayer for budget reasons, if I feel survivability is good without Vaal pact then I go ahead and change to champion once I get better foils. I think it's still decent but new zerker and chieftan or even just champ will heavily out damage it.
Vaal pact is still good for slayer, loses its lab advantage over jug though since the leech isn't long enough for traps. Especially during this crafting league where you can reroll non phys modifiers. Only having to worry about phys damage and attack speed allows far greater options and higher pdps weapons for cheaper. That being said, I find the crit node to be incredibly good for early league. Currently playing slayer, depending on the build.
