The only way to use the file is from within Chirp. And it saves typing.ĭOUBLE CHECK the file you downloaded is the correct one for your radio model.ĭON'T try to double click the file to open it. But this file helps a lot, especially if you don't know what you're doing. You DON'T need to download this file, and you COULD make a brand new Chirp file and type in all the information yourself. Or whatever you choose to name the channel. So your radio can show " GMRS1" instead of " 462.5500".
